Christmas at the Beach

This year, we spent Christmas week at the beach with the Austins. We had a terrific time. We knew it was going to be a great week when we pulled into the driveway of our rental house and saw this:

Although it wasn’t really swimming weather, the beach was lots of fun. This was Amelie’s first trip to the ocean and I think it was a bit overwhelming for her at first.

But she got over it soon enough and apprehension turned to excitement.

It could get pretty windy out there!

It really was a great week.

Fall Fun

We had a great Fall. Here are some highlights.

In November, Bryce and I went to St. George with his family to watch Brock perform with the ballroom team at the gorgeous Tuacahn amphitheater. While we were there, we took some time to visit local Church history sites like the tabernacle.

Unfortunately, we returned from that trip to find poor Amelie sick with a stomach bug, which, of course, I proceeded to get the following day. But, we all recovered. Here she is wearing Mom’s glasses:

Loving the swings at the park (sorry it’s so blurry):

Sitting pretty at our favorite park in Pleasant Grove:

Amelie has definitely inherited something from her Grandpa Austin–reading a book while eating her breakfast!

And, finally, here’s Amelie in all of her cold weather get-up. She might not be able to move, but at least she’ll be warm!

Bryce and his dance partner also did wonderfully well at the November UVSC ballroom dance competition, taking first in all dances from all of the judges! I don’t have any pictures of that handy, but I’ll post some when I do.

New year, new blog

Hi, family and friends-

This year, I thought I’d start a blog for our family. This will be a place where you can come for pictures, updates, and news about us. You can also comment on any of the posts.

Enjoy!
