Bridal Veil Falls

On Monday, we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and walked around the base of Bridal Veil Falls. And it’s a good thing we did, too, since it snowed a couple days later!

One of the perks of living in Utah: amazing natural beauty all around us.

Calder had a blast hanging out in his back pack. He could have ridden around on Bryce's back all day.

See what I mean? Loving every minute of our walk.

We’re excited for the warm weather to decide to stick around so that we can go enjoy more of the canyons and trails that our home has to offer. And I promise that I was there, too. See my shadow in the pictures? 😉

Happy Easter!

Sorry this is a little late. We had a fun Easter this year. Pretty low-key. The highlights of our weekend: a fun Easter egg hunt with our friends and neighbors and Creme Brulee French toast for brunch on Sunday.

Victory! After finding eggs from different families in our neighborhood, Amelie got to redeem each egg for a fun treat.

Amelie spent most of Sunday dancing around in her "pretty dress", telling everyone that it was "pink and white". She was in heaven.

So, happy belated Easter, everyone!

Eating (in) the Highchair

Calder is enjoying this new world of solid foods. So far, he’s tried, and loved, rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, prunes, carrots, and applesauce. So many new flavors and textures to explore!

He looks so little in this big highchair. Especially compared to Amelie!

"Is it time to eat yet?"

"Mmmm...This highchair tray is just delicious!"

Along with the joys of new foods has come the sorrows of teething. This weekend, Bryce discovered that Calder has cut his first tooth. So cute, but the whole process has made our baby a little sad. He’s being a trooper, though!

Snuggly Slippers and Snuggly Cousins

Amelie has been loving these great booties that Aunt Betsey knit for her:

Just ignore the lack of pants...

Thanks again, Aunt Betsey!  And here’s Amelie hanging out with cousin Keian. She doesn’t look very comfortable, but this was how she arranged herself.

And just in case you haven’t heard the good news, Amelie is potty trained! She’s done so well. My baby is growing up so fast!

The Haircut

Last week, I decided to get my hair cut. I went to the salon and told the stylist to do whatever she thought would look best (in this case, she gave me an A-line cut) and I even let her put in highlights (a biggie for me since my hair has never been colored at all before). I’m loving the new cut–it feels so fresh and fun!

Ta-da!

Ta-da! Not the best picture of me, but I wanted to give you an idea of what this new cut looks like.

So, there you have it!
