Truly, there’s not much to say about this past Halloween. Now that Amelie is old enough to know what she wants to be for Halloween, it’s harder to plan a family theme. She wanted to be Ariel, the little mermaid, this year and I just couldn’t quite get my act together. Maybe there just wasn’t enough incentive for me, since I’d basically have to be Ursula. So, the kids each did their own thing and Bryce and I threw on our pj’s, robes, and slippers as we headed out the door on Saturday to go to our friends’ annual party and then our ward trunk-or-treat.

We didn't even carve pumpkins! I figured balloons made less mess. Left to right: Calder's, mine, and Amelie's. Maybe next year we'll go for the real deal...

Bob the Builder and a pretty little mermaid. Hey, Calder--the camera's this way!

Great smile, Calder, but you're still looking the wrong way! Honestly, I think the goggles distort his vision a bit. But he loves them.
So, there you have it. Halloween 2010. Oh, and we got rained in, too! The trunk-or-treat ended up in the hallways of our church building because of the downpour. Amelie and Calder didn’t seem to mind. They ended up with plenty of candy and seemed to have a lot of fun.
