And I only say Round 1 because I’m pretty sure Bryce has some pictures on his camera from other Christmas events.
We had a really lovely Christmas this year. Pretty low-key and relaxed. Our kids are still young enough that they don’t get up ridiculously early (they actually slept in a bit!) and we enjoyed lots of fun time with family. Here are some pictures from the big day:

Our Christmas goodies. And, yes, Santa brings boxed cereal to our house--yum!

Seeing what else Santa left for them.

Amelie's such a lucky girl--she got exactly what she asked for from Santa! A unicorn Pillow Pet. Calder got a dog one and they both love their new toys that double as pillows when you unfold them. These things are all the rage these days. It seems like all the kids at preschool have one.

Calder adores these cars from Grandma and Grandpa Austin. He spends a lot of time lining them all up, putting them back in the box, and then lining them up again.

Isn't this dollhouse/castle adorable? This was our gift to Amelie and she's been having a lot of fun with it.

Cute, right? It folds up for easy toting.

I thought Amelie's use of a miniature candy bar wrapper was pretty clever. If you look at the previous picture, you'll see that I whipped up a little blanket for her later in the day.

Ugh--lovely Christmas morning shot. But the Nook looks great! And I just love it. One of the best presents ever. Thanks, Sweetheart!

Bryce with the big temple print that I gave him. I actually painted and assembled the frame and did some antiquing on the print at a Relief Society activity. And isn't Bryce really starting to look New Testament-y? He auditions for the film in 2 weeks.

Mission memorabilia that I put together for him.

And the MythBusters game that I thought would be silly and fun.

Hours later...What did I tell you? Still lining those cars up.
Grandma and Grandpa Haymond came to our house a bit later in the day to deliver their packages and enjoy some Jewish Coffee Cake. I’ll post some of those pictures later. All in all, it was a wonderful morning.
