Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween! This year was pretty low-stress for us. Amelie and Calder both got to wear their costumes to school today and then we went to our ward’s Trunk-or-Treat–so quick and convenient! Here’s this year’s costume round-up:

Easton the Lion. This cutie actually kept his ears/mane on the whole time! And he does a pretty cute roar, too. There's a tail that you can't quite see.

Lion with Daddy. Cheese!

Amelie called herself a Butterfly Fairy Princess--she couldn't decide exactly what she wanted to be. Thank you Grandma Brenda for the dress and Grandma Austin for the cape!

The wings. Which, I think are actually upside down. Oh well...

And now for the winner of this year's prize, our Christmas Present!

Don't tell Amelie, but he really did steal the show. He got lots of comments during the Trunk-or-Treat. Yay for easy and cute costumes!

So, Happy Halloween and welcome November! This is the month we find out if Haymond #4 is a girl or a boy. I’m excited!

Calder is 4!

Wow. 4 years old. There’s something big about going from being 3 to being 4, you know? At 4, Calder is a little bit crazy, a lot a bit fun, and really silly. He is a total goof ball, but also very sweet and tender. Snuggling with me is probably one of his favorite things, next to running around and around and around the house.

In honor of his 4th birthday (which was several days ago–oops!), here are 4 darling pictures (thank you, Marcie!):

So full of joyful energy, this one.

And sometimes pensive. Sometimes.

Is it just me or does he look like he's 4 going on 12 in this one?

My not so little boy.

Excerpts from his birthday interview:

Mommy: What is your favorite color?

Calder: Blue. (This is new for him. It’s been orange as long as I can remember.)

M: What is your favorite T.V. show?

C: Curious George.

M: What do you want to be when you grow up?

C: A daddy magician. (I like how he already plans on balancing home and work life.)

Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy! We love you!
