This year, Amelie is in 3rd grade, Calder is in Kindergarten, and Easton is in preschool two days a week. They each started school on a different day.

Amelie has really been enjoying 3rd grade with Ms. Olson. One thing I love–the no homework policy her teacher has!

Calder’s first day of kindergarten in Ms. Madsen’s class. Easton had to be in the picture, too, of course. Calder is loving kindergarten and comes home with lots to tell me every day.

Easton heading off to preschool with Ms. Aubrey and Ms. Lori. His class is right next door to Calder’s. He loves the sand table and snack time!

We’ve been so pleased with the great STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) school right across the street from us. The administration and staff are amazing and the kids have a great time.

My baby girl, my sweet Amelie Pearl, is 8 years old today! She is such a lovely girl–kind, sensitive, inquisitive, careful, funny, and with a mind to do the right thing. What a gift she is to me and to her brothers. It would be easy to call her shy. In front of new people she’s quiet and reserved. But I prefer to call her observant. She takes in so many details and has a remarkable memory. And she notices things about people. She’s sympathetic and caring and just a delight. Such a treasure.
