Caption Contest Winner

Well, it was a very difficult decision, but we have selected the winner of the Caption Contest. Part of what made it so difficult was that I didn’t know who most of the comments came from since you all logged in as “family” 😉 If you need a reminder of your personal username and password, just let me know.

Without further ado (drumroll, please), here is the original photo with the winning caption:

“Ooh! Rocky just took a hard one in the face. Thats gotta hurt!”

If the author of the caption will please identify him or herself, I’ll figure out what your grand prize will be!

Oh, and this was actually Calder’s reaction to sucking on a wedge of lime.

Caption Contest!

Sorry for all the posts. I’m trying to get caught up on all of our recent happenings. Here’s a fun one for your enjoyment:

What do you think Calder is thinking? Leave your funniest caption idea in the comments section of this post (or email me). The winner (determined by my own subjective vote) will get something really great (yet to be decided) :)

Dinosaur Summer!

So far, this summer has brought lots of dinosaur action. We have a membership to Thanksgiving Point now and part of the complex is a great dinosaur museum. I think it’s supposed to be one of the largest in the world. It’s great to have such a fun museum just down the road from us.

Kind of a gruesome mammoth hunting scene, but it didn't seem to bother Amelie.

They even have dinosaur costumes for the kids to play in.

Working hard at the erosion table where you play with water and sand.

Doing some archaeological digging--looks like we uncovered a complete skeleton!

We also had the chance to visit the Eccles Dinosaur Park in Ogden. We went to Ogden planning to do something else, but plans changed and we ended up at the park. We really enjoyed the dinosaur sculptures outside and the fabulous dinosaur playground.

The sculptures were pretty neat. Probably a little easier for a toddler to understand than just the bones.

Amelie: "Look! The baby dinosaurs hugging their mommy!" Us: "Yes, Amelie. That's exactly what they're doing..."

Utah’s definitely the place to be for all things dinosaur!

At 9 Months

I can’t believe that my sweet little boy is almost 9 months old!

At 9 months…

Calder is a joy to greet in the morning. I love his excitement to see me and to start the day.
