I can’t remember why we took this photo, but Bryce looks so cute, I just had to post it.

This hike was no joke! Slippery and pretty steep in sections. But it was beautiful and totally worth it.

After the hike, we went tubing down a river. Very relaxing and scenic.

At Grand Cayman, we took a catamaran out to do some snorkeling and then to visit a sand bar that has tons of stingrays swimming around. I’d never been snorkeling before–it was really cool!

I thought I might be a bit squemish about the stingrays, but I actually loved getting to hold and feed them. They’re kind of velvety.

And, yes, our ship had miniature golf, too.

On the beach in Cozumel. Very relaxing. I got burned on my back and shoulders. I wasn’t even in the sun for very long and I did put on sunscreen, but I guess I needed thicker stuff with higher SPF. Lesson learned!

At the Space Center. This is where astronauts come to train for missions and life in the space station.

This was really neat–it’s the mission control room that will be used for missions to Mars!

On day two, we went on a fun wagon ride. Calder cracks me up sometimes. Well, a lot of times.

We also hiked through a petrified forest. It was pretty amazing–lots and lots of petrified wood. It was fun to see the different colors and just marvel at the process that turned wood to stone.

Once he decided to be happy, we couldn’t get him to sit still! We ran around and around this building.

Pretty irresistible. He’s saying, “Honey!” He has yet to really call me, “Mommy,” but I love the nickname.

Such a love. He’s a mama’s boy and I sure love it. I know someday I’ll long for the sweet hugs and kisses he gives me, so I try to savor them.

The triumphant moment of the day. And what a great photo op!

Thank you for having me. Today, as you can see, we are working with a common corn dog. The specimen is of average size and length and coated in a corn-based crust.

As we consider the corn dog, it’s important to remember temperature, mouth size, and proper grasp.

As one brings the dog to one’s mouth, it’s imperative to balance to corn dog by lightly pinching the stick in one hand and using the other hand to firmly grip the top of the dog, like so.

Any questions at this point? No? In that case, we will continue.

We continue the method of pinching, gripping, and stuffing as much into the mouth as possible, all along the length of the dog. I will demonstrate.
